Sapphire Point Engagement

Chris and Laura are some of the sweetest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. We met downtown for coffee at the Oxford hotel a week before the shoot and I just loved getting to know these two Denver lawyers from D.C.

We decided to do their engagement photos at one of my favorite locations, Sapphire Point. We aimed for a fall afternoon in September just as the colors started to change. Fall in Colorado is tricky, because it will only last for about two weeks, if you’re lucky! The weekend we chose for the shoot was perfect, all of those natural fall colors were in sight.

We started with some photos at the top of the overlook just as a wedding was being set up. Lucky for us we were in and out before the wedding began and got some amazing photos with stunning mountain views. We stopped along the road on the way back down and even played on the beach for a little while. I remember how happy Laura and Chris were that day and how easy it was for me to capture the love they share for one another.

After an amazing shoot here in Colorado, I’m beyond excited to fly to D.C. this November for their wedding! Congrats you two!
