Iceland Elopement
Last August, I journeyed to Iceland with a group of photographers and three couples. I’ve written two other blog posts featuring the other two couples, so lastly I’d like to feature Jesy & Indiana’s adventure elopement.
Jesy and Indiana were so much fun to work with! Jesy wore a flowy BHLDN gown and complimented it with a hat and warm geometric blanket. We were on a mountaintop 6 hours away from Reykjavik in the beginning of August and I’m not going to lie…it was freezing. With this time of year technically being their “summer” I still don’t know if it’s ever possible to not be cold there.
Since it was August, the sun was out most of the time with only a few hours of darkness. Not going to lie, it was a photographer’s dream to start shooting at golden hour and to watch it last for hours! Those of you unfamiliar with “golden hour” this is technically the first or last hour of sunlight. It’s when the sun is at it’s brightest making any person or object in front of your camera GLOW. This magical time lasts 15 minutes or so back in Colorado…but in Iceland I swear it lasted for four hours! Which was an absolute dream.
Jesy and Indiana ran across mountain tops as I carefully captured her flowy hair and dress play in the wind. By the end of the afternoon the two of them were frozen, but they were champions working through it all. I’ll always remember these magical moments that I was able to capture. Keep scrolling to see my favorite moments from their elopement.
