Intimate Breckenridge Wedding

Last November, it was the day before Thanksgiving, and I was lucky enough to be a part of something very special. Gissel reached out to me regarding her intimate wedding of 12 guests and her two dogs and I was so excited to be chosen to capture their day!

Gissel and Paul are New Yorker’s who decided to get married at The Lodge at Breckenridge. They had never been to Colorado before but wanted to do a destination wedding and Breckenridge was the perfect location. They worked closely with Bash and Bubbly to organize the day and they made everything flow seamlessly.

We started the day with their first look before the ceremony at Lake Dillon with a few more bridal portraits at Sapphire Point overlook. It was beautiful winter day, but a bit windy! But they both handled the cold like true New Yorkers! We returned to the Lodge for the ceremony followed by some family and group photos with the couple and their 10 guests and then shared a lovely family dinner.

One of my favorite moments from this wedding was the intimate setting with the couple and their family. There was no DJ and no fancy announcement into the reception. This couple kept it simple with some bluetooth speakers and their iphones. Not going to lie, I may have taken the opportunity to plug in my “best of weddings” playlist on my personal spotify account to get the party started. To keep the party going I hopped on the dancefloor and taught the guests how to do the electric slide….whilst taking photos. I’m a big multitasker but anything to keep the couple from having to select the next song to play, they were able to enjoy the night with each other and the people closest to them. Congrats again to Gissel and Paul!
