Sapphire Point Engagement
Tim and Lauren aka “Coop” are some good friends of mine. When they got engaged this past summer I reached out to offer my congratulations AND to offer my services! I was honored when they decided to work with me for their engagement photos!
The morning of the shoot, I got to the meeting point about an hour early (because that’s me!) and sure enough Coop and Tim were there too! It wasn’t quite time to shoot yet, and I could tell they were a bit nervous so, around lunchtime we decided to grab a couple margaritas! Best idea ever. This helped calm their nerves as I waited for the the sun to be in the right spot.
Coop showed me her yellow velvet jumpsuit and I fell in love! AH! We started with their formal outfits down on the beach of Lake Dillon, and not going to lie it was freezing! I did my best to keep them moving as we played in the snow with the stunning mountain views in the distance. They brought along their sweet pup Ruby and she stole the show just as expected.
We made our way up the road to Sapphire Point Overlook just as the day approached golden hour. They changed into some comfy outfits and we were blessed with the most incredible light! Golden hour can be tricky in Colorado, for the weather can change so quickly, but we were beyond lucky for the blue skies and beaming light that day. By this point, Tim and Coop were super comfortable in front of the camera, and I got to capture the real love they share as a couple. It’s an amazing thing to be there to capture moments like these as a professional photographer, but even better to be there as a friend!
I had so much fun shooting Tim & Coop’s engagement photos and I’m SO excited to shoot their wedding this Fall! Congratulations again you too!
