Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico

Brianna and Dan’s destination wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico isn’t one I’ll be forgetting any time soon. Connecting with these two was such a gift. Brianna and Dan are one of the silliest, most laid back couples I’ve ever met. They felt more like close friends than clients.

I shot Brianna and Dan’s engagement session in Colorado while they were visiting. It didn’t take long for me to see how much fun this couple is. Dan tells the best dad jokes and Brianna’s funny faces are priceless. We had so much fun shooting their session that they asked me to capture their destination wedding in Mexico. I was thrilled at the opportunity to work with them again!

Brianna and Dan tied the knot at the Generations Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. They had an intimate beach ceremony that radiated with love! The morning started off raining but cleared up beautifully by the afternoon. We grabbed some photos by the beach and around the resort. The setting couldn’t have been more breathtaking. Brianna was an absolute vision.

I truly felt like a member of Brianna and Dan’s family. They are both so welcoming and friendly. My mom tagged along as my assistant and they embraced her as if she was an old friend. Couples like Brianna and Dan are why I love what I do for a living! Connecting with my clients as if they were friends allows the wedding photography to flow naturally and authentically.

Brianna and Dan - thank you both for inviting me to document your beautiful destination wedding at Generations Resort in Mexico! There is a life full of love and laughter ahead of you both. I hope you never stop chasing adventures with one another by your side. Congratulations, you two!

What we love most about Jenny is that her pictures aren’t just portraits, they’re like live action shots. You feel as if you’re a star and in a photo shoot and then when you see the end product... BREATHTAKING!!

For others planning a destination wedding…

How did you choose your location & venue? Any Advice?

After a ton of stress and being overwhelmed from researching locations on our own via Google, Brianna posted on her facebook page and asked if anyone she knew had any advice on how to plan a destination wedding and a travel agent was recommended. We HIGHLY recommend researching and finding a travel agent who works specifically with all-inclusive destination weddings. It made finding the right location and resort much, much easier!

What was your favorite part about planning a destination wedding?

When it was over and we got to the beach! :) Planning a destination wedding was great because they gave us a dedicated wedding planning team to assist and they had a format to follow and options to choose from. However, when you invite a ton of people who aren't as traveled or familiar with leaving the country, it becomes a bit stressful managing their expectations as well as accommodating each person's needs.

What will you remember most about your wedding day?

How amazing the day turned out to be. Both weather wise, the location, and the glow we each saw in each other.

Advice for other couples planning their wedding now?

Remember the day is yours! Don't get distracted/discouraged by the uncontrollables or let it become about pleasing anyone else. Do what you want to do and the rest will fall into place. Everything, I REPEAT, EVERYTHING will happen the way it is meant to happen.
