Adventure Engagement on Independence Pass

I met Colin and Andrea back in college at CU Boulder and we’ve been good friends ever since. Over the years, I remember how the two of them grew closer and eventually embarked on their “first date” as they quit their 9-5 jobs and hiked the PCT for 6 months. Casual. Upon their return, they started their own architecture firm, Amble Architecture and have been an inspiration to me ever since. They were so encouraging when I finally decided to start my own photography business!

When they reached out to me about an adventure engagement session I was so excited to work with them. They had a unique vision for their photos that was entirely their own. I LOVED IT! Being avid hikers I knew there was a hike in my near future. We hiked to the top of Independence Pass one fall afternoon and got the best of golden hour. I encouraged them to be entirely themselves and together we created MAGIC!

We spent the afternoon wandering around the pass and dipped their feet in a nearby alpine lake. It was so fun to catch up with these two and also be there to capture it all! We wrapped up the day with a hike back down to the car and a couple of beers in town.

Congratulations Andrea & Colin! I can’t wait for your wedding next year! Love you guys!
