Styled Fall Elopement

I’ve lived in Colorado my whole life, making countless trips into the mountains regardless of season. I’ve admired Loveland Pass from every angle over the years, romanticizing about a shoot deep in the trees and wistful moments amongst the summit.

The day of the shoot was unforgettable. On the first day of October, mother nature surprised us with a fresh breath of Fall. Golden aspens cascaded down every mountainside buried under a heavy blanket of fog. Camera in hand and the perfect couple at my side, we gathered within the allure of the lower tree-line and I remarked at the extraordinary lighting conditions. We began the shoot with the bride in a beautiful purple gown to embrace the darker gloomy tones of the  foggy day.  A soft rain shower remained throughout the afternoon as we embraced the chill in the air and braved the powerful winds of the summit. The fog danced along the mountaintops as we concluded the shoot with an elopement style ceremony with the bride in a romantic long-sleeved crocheted dress and celebration picnic at the lake. Throughout the day, we collectively admired the beauty of the surrounding peaks as I captured the steady affection between husband and wife.
