Destination Anniversary in Glacier National Park, Montana
Jiong & Amelia’s Adventure Anniversary in Glacier National Park, Montana.
Jiong & Amelia were referred to me by another photographer and I was ECSTATIC when they reached out to me with their plans to celebrate their anniversary in Glacier National Park. I had never been to northern Montana and I was so excited these two invited me out to meet them.
The day of the shoot it did nothing but RAIN! I mean pouring rain…or as Forrest Gump would say BIG OLD FAT RAIN. This wasn’t the type of rain we could stick it out and shoot, so we made the decision to postpone to the following morning. We arrived at the location at sunrise and WOW. Not only did it stop raining, but the clouds parted and gave us the most gorgeous morning sunlight and a rainbow to welcome the day.
Amelia and Jiong were such champions that morning for it was a windy one. We took our time going from spot to spot, taking in all the views, with the occasional jacket break! I’m unbelievably grateful for these two and the amazing time we had together.
Happy Anniversary Amelia & Jiong! Thank you again for choosing me to capture the most amazing day!

Glacier National Park Facts:
There is an East side and West side of the park. I personally prefer the East side for sites like St. Mary Lake, Two Medicine Lake, and Many Glacier.
There are very few places to stay on the East side but I stayed in the Glacier Park Lodge for its proximity to the park and the fact that it had a restaurant and mini store on the premises. There are very few restaurants in the area so a hotel that includes these is a must!
Going to the Sun Road is closed a portion of the year. We were in Glacier National Park in June and Logan Pass was still closed due to the snow from the previous winter. I’d recommend visiting in July/August for the best access in the park.
